Campbell Steer
Solicitor
I was born and raised in Far North Queensland where I completed my primary and secondary education. Throughout my childhood, I spent a considerable amount of time in Mackay visiting my family who have long standing ties to the region.
In 2021, I commenced a Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University (JCU) in Cairns. Following my graduation from JCU in January 2025, I completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and I was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in November 2025.
I commenced working in the Cairns registry of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) in 2022. I subsequently relocated to Brisbane in January 2024 to work as an Associate to her Honour Judge Willis AM in the FCFCOA (Division 2). In this role, I was exposed to a breadth of parenting and property matters. I developed an understanding of the inherent complexities that often arise within a family law context and the importance of recognising the nuances of each family’s situation and dynamics.
Following her Honour’s retirement in August 2025, I returned to Cairns where I continued to work within the FCFCOA in an Associate role supporting her Honour Judge Cope.
I relocated to Mackay and commenced at Wallace & Wallace Lawyers as a Family Law Solicitor in February 2026.
