Brittany Colussi

I earned my Bachelor of Laws while working full-time as a secretary and law clerk, gaining experience in the areas of family law, criminal law, property development, conveyancing, and personal injury in both New South Wales and Queensland. I began working with Wallace & Wallace Lawyers as a law clerk in Mackay in 2018 and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in 2020.
Having completed high school in Moranbah, I returned to this area after my studies to be close to my family and my husband’s family, who all work in the mining industry. This connection gives me a deep understanding of the local community and its unique challenges. Particularly with respect to the pressures associated with families balancing working in the mining industry and day to day life in a mining community.
I focus primarily on family law and criminal matters. My passion and empathy drive me to ensure my clients feel understood and respected as they navigate the legal system. My previous roles have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the difficulties clients face in accessing and comprehending legal advice.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young family in Moranbah and frequently traveling to Mackay.
